The nominations for the 2024 Brit Awards have finally dropped, who could be taking home a coveted Brit on the big night?
The list of candidates for the 44th Brit Awards has been released. From established chart-toppers to emerging artists, this year's line-up is an exciting mix of talent, featuring both familiar faces and promising newcomers.

The Year of Female Artists
From a Harry Styles take over last year, this year the women are dominating. Singer-songwriter Raye leads the pack, having earned a well-deserved seven BRIT nominations despite parting ways with her record label and initially believing that her career as an artist was over. "Never in my wildest dreams would I think trying again would mean seven BRIT nominations," she said.
Not only this, 55% of this year’s nominations feature women, either as a solo-artist or as part of an all-woman group. The British Phonographic Industry (BPI) have praised the new wave of diverse talent in the industry, who are breaking through the norms of imbalance.

Central Cee and J Hus follow close behind Raye with four nominations each. The competition for Album of the Year heats up with Blur, J Hus, Little Simz, and Young Fathers joining Raye. Artist of the Year sees a similar clash, with Little Simz and J Hus vying alongside Raye!
