England’s match ups

England v New Zealand

England’s campaign begins with a Haka, on 2 November at Twickenham Stadium. For the highly anticipated clash of England and New Zealand. The rematch fans have been craving since they missed each other in last year’s World Cup and their last encounter in 2022 ended in a 25-25 draw. England’s progress in the Six Nations and New Zealand just falling short of glory against South Africa in the RWC Finals means this game promises to bring unpredictable action.

England v Australia

Next up, England will face Australia on the 9 November. The Wallabies will be looking to redeem themselves after a tough time at the RWC, which saw them not make it out of the pool stages for the first time in history, following defeats to Wales and Fiji. Will England capitalize on Australia’s struggles, or can the Wallabies pull off an upset?

England v South Africa

England’s hunger for revenge continues in the third week as they take on back-to-back World Champions South Africa on the 16 November. The chance for England to atone for their heart-breaking loss in the World Cup, where after dropping one point in the final moments of the match, handing away their chance to become world champions.

England v Japan

The 2024 Autumn Internationals culminate with a fascinating clash on Sunday, 24 November, as England takes on Japan. England will be looking to end the Autumn series on a high note and this match against Japan offers a chance to showcase their dominance and potentially erase any doubts lingering from the Six Nations. This match holds special significance as it marks the return of Eddie Jones, England's former head coach, who will be leading Japan.

A legend departs

After 101 games driving the team to many victorious moments, this autumn nations series will be the first for a while without their crucial attacking number 9, Danny Care. After achieving his century in the win over Ireland in the Six Nations, he has taken the high and called time on his international career. Taking to social media to say:

"After a lot of reflection the past few months, the time feels right for myself and the team, to retire from international rugby. The past 12 months in this England team have been arguably my favourite, making memories that my family and I will cherish and remember forever.”
